Chris (Voiced by Canuck Dave Foley) reveals his Canadian ancestry by changing into a bear when threatened, as "all Canadians are half bear" according to Dan.
Ya can't do a proper Canada show without a Sasquatch appearance.

This one's up over the 101 FWY in Hollywood (Where Cahuenga meets Barham) so if you're driving through in the next week or two, keep your eyes peeled! The billboard isn't up anymore, but you can see some coverage of it HERE!
As you all know, a terrible tragedy has hit Japan. The amount of loss and damage is still not known, but the casualties are now in the thousands.
This is a terrible reminder that disaster can strike at any minute and it's at times like these that we need to let the people of Japan know that their friends around the world will come to their aid and help them in their darkest hour.
A benefit art show has begun at Q-POP in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles featuring works from artists from the L.A. animation and art communities-- RIGHT NOW you can buy artwork that will benefit relief efforts in Japan (80% will go to the International Red Cross and 20% will cover Q-Pop's costs with credit card company charges and staff costs only) with a special auction of remaining artwork on Friday, March 18, 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm.

Dan is an ill-tempered curmudgeon with a major chip on his shoulder... against the entire world. The slightest perceived wrong will set him off on a mission of revenge against his imagined enemies. Dan's friend Chris usually gets roped into going along on said missions, much to the dismay of his wife, Elise (who usually winds up bailing Chris & Dan out of jail)
While the overall look for Dan & Chris were based on creators Dan Mandel & Chris Pearson, Elise had no visual development before the start of production, and we tried a lot of different styles before settling on the final design. Here's a look at a bit of the design process:

Last year while I was busy working on Kick Buttowski, I was able to squeeze in a bit of freelance work for Genndy on his new show, SYM-BIONIC TITAN. Just like the old days, I wound up doing a lot of effects work and lots of military tech-- fun stuff! Here's a small taste:

1. I've been on TV, radio, and in the newspaper at various times in my life. 2. As a child, I was encouraged to continue drawing by Sergio Aragones, Al Jaffee, Jim Davis, and Frank Thomas & Ollie Johnston. So it's all their fault. 3. I am currently without a gaming system and it hurts. 4. My daughter prefers I read the cartoon-based books to her over my wife, 'cause I can do all the funny voices :) 5. I love toys and action figures, but I don't buy them (unless they're of a show I work on). It's strictly a spectator thing with me. 6. My Dad looks like Carl Fredricksen from UP (If he was 6'4") 7. I really want Thai food for lunch today.

There's a scene in the movie where Dr. Satan runs shows off his 27 ex-wives (that he keeps in his walk-in freezer) and lists off the problems with each of them. All I had to go on was the dialogue, and I got to run wild with the visuals:

WTF?!? Where did 4 years go?? Yep, it's true-- back in 2005 I started blogging, and by some minor miracle I've managed to keep it going. (Despite the occasional long delay between posts... thanks for hanging in there.) To celebrate, I've got something special happening. Want to find out what?
