Thanks for the compliments, guys! But I can't take credit for the clean-up on the PPG's in their space suits; The clean-up there was done by long-time Hanna-Barbera artist Barbara Krueger, who worked with us on DEX, PPG, & SAM JACK. (The other drawings are as close as I can get on my own... I prefer to leave the real thing to the pros!)
Welcome to the wonderful world of blogging. Our legion is growing by the minute it seems! I'll put up a link on my blog to yours so we can get some traffic going.. It's been years since the old days at KC and it's great to see your are still going strong. See you around!
Wow! Great Work, Chris Battle! I love the animation art that Disney and Cartoon Network has work on over the years. Well, wouldn't be cool if in 2008 or 2009 or so, there might be some art of coffee table books featuring all of the production artwork, etc., etc., etc., from Dexter's Lab, The Powerpuff Girls, Ego Trip, The Powerpuff Girls Movie, and Samurai Jack in one huge coffee table book for each show, and they will be similar to the Art of Walt Disney book. The titles will be the Art of Dexter's Laboratory (which will combine text with all of the production artwork, etc., etc., etc., from all 4 seasons of Dexter's Lab and the TV special Ego Trip, among others), The Art of the Powerpuff Girls (which will combine text with all of the production artwork, etc., etc., etc., from all 6 seasons of The Powerpuff Girls TV series, among others), the Powerpuff Girls Movie: The Making, the Art, and the Vision of the Animated Film (which will combine text with all of the production artwork, etc., etc., etc., from the Powerpuff Girls Movie), and the Art of Samurai Jack (which will combine text with all of the production artwork, etc., etc., etc., from all 4 seasons of Samurai Jack, among others). Well, Chris, Would you and the Dexter's Lab, Powerpuff Girls, Powerpuff Girls Movie, and Samurai Jack crew, past and present, be involved in these books at my request? Agree?
