New girlie pic + new job = new post

Here's a little something I cooked up recently. The original rough Post-It sketch went to the lucky guy who won the random pick from the last post.

As I mentioned in the CF interview, I recently started a new job at Nickelodeon doing Character Design on SUPER SCOUT. Though I've done lots of freelance for Nick, this is my first time actually in-house. It should prove to be lots of fun, mainly 'cause the show is gonna be super-cool, I'm working with a bunch of old pals, and also because of this:

OH YEAH!

There's nothing like getting to play with an expensive toy on somebody else's dime. Of course, if my digital skillz don't improve over the course of this show, I deserve a massive kick in the nuts.

Hey, Chris! Yeah- I heard you're coming aboard! I'll be sure to wear my metal athletic cup that day.

But if you don't update your blog soon, I'm gonna kick you in the nuts.

Yes, cintiqs are indeed awesome. I worked on one for my last job. I'd have loved to take it home with me ;).

I love the woman illustration, awesome patterns on the dress.

Great stuff! It was nice hanging out with u for a bit last night, before we all got swallowed up by the crazy crowd at 6PH!

It was good to see you the other night at 6PH. The girlie pic is pretty sweet! You're gonna love the Cintiq. I'm just jealous because I'm on a tablet PC.

Jeez-o-man! I just saw Patrick Morgan got a new Cintiq on his blog! I'm so jealous. I have yet to actually even try one. I absolutely loathe scanning.

Congrats on the new gig! If you see Lambey walkin' the halls kick him in the nuts for me ;)

Nice chicky too by the way.

Cute girly drawing too!

AWESOME girlie pic, her dress is hot! Love the textile design!! WOOoooo ... I never use a Cintiq before, how do you like it compare to a regular WACOM? :)

congrats! nice girl pic too!

I guess everybody likes the girlies ;) Thanks for all the congrats and Cintiq envy. If only I could afford to have one at home...

Warren & Kim- Good to see you and all the old CF gang! Wow, Warren, you posted so much new art on yer blog-- awesome!!

Brianne- Yeah, I still owe you a colored Post-It...

Boob- I give Steve-o a kick in the nuts every morning; It's kind of a "hello" thing. To his credit, he takes it like a man.

Alan- I've never had so many references to balls on this blog before. I've come a long way.

Alina- The Cintiq is WAAAYYYY better than the traditional Wacom. No "disconnect" between what you're looking at and what you're drawing on. I'm trying out Alias Sketchbook, which "feels" more like drawing. Now if they could only make it feel more like paper....

Paige- Congrats to you and the WUBBZY gang on the Annie nom!
