Here's some more stuff from the BILLY & MANDY episode that featured the
"Anime" Billy & Mandy. The little Chim-Chim-esque monkey winds up coming into the "real" world, and eventually goes mano-a-mano with Grim to see who gets to be the kids' new best pal. Oh yeah, they fight John Woo style with household cleaning products. (Don't ask)

...and just in case you're curious to see how those anime-style Billy & Mandy turned out, here ya go:

That monkey is super bad-ass! I'd like to see him and Buddah Monkey of HTF hash it out!
ReplyDeleteExcellent posing and lines on the monkey. Top notch work
ReplyDeleteYou are truly skilled artist Monsieur Battle. My American friend Ian Wasseluk storyboarded that episode. do you know him? Exceptional work!!
ReplyDeleteGreetings from France!
Why do people make everything in Anime? Cartoons are much better!
ReplyDeleteI like your monkeys, he looks cute!
To your "Fake Shane" drawing: I don't think that it looks exact like the Shane-style. Some little parts in the drawing are a little bit like Shane, but you put your own style in the drawing and that's good. It don't look like a copy, it looks fantastic! :D
My drawings are cheap copies of different styles, you can be happy that you have your own style!
Hello...do you like Astro Boy...?
ReplyDeleteSteve- Someday I'm gonna post my really rough drawings and you'll see how messy it gets...
ReplyDeleteJez- "I'm Down" needs to be on a t-shirt... small image on ash gray or black... I'd be down w/buying one!
Mitchell- Colangelo sez you need to get a haircut!
Dan- Your stuff rocks! I'm gonna drop by yer blog more often...
Ian- Thanks, man. Yep, I know Mr. Wasseluk-- I made sure I gave those models a little extra love just 'cause it was Ian's board.
Stephanie- Personally, I love all animation styles... cartoony, anime, CGI, claymation... The more variety, the better, I say! (and I have never seen anybody that could just decide to draw like Lynne Naylor and more or less pull it off like you can...just post more often!)
yup. you have talent out the ass!
ReplyDeleteHa Ha! I'm # 3o!
ReplyDelete...but #1 in our hearts!
